Requirements

  • Minimum MCA Level 1 Technician or ability to pass within 6 months of hire.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks at one time in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of materials and equipment (e.g., conveyor lines, concrete plant).
  • Knowledge of lock-out, tag-out, and confined space procedures.
  • Ability to work extended weekday hours and weekends.
  • Willingness to travel to other plants.
  • Able to interact and clearly communicate to all levels of the company, customers, vendors, and support agencies.
  • Must possess strong management, interpersonal, analytical, and computer skills.

  • Knowledge of basic office machinery.

Responsibilities

  • Provide plant operator support/relief for the primary plant supervisor.
  • Coordinate daily plant operations and personnel.
  • Operate computerized batch panel.
  • Monitor raw material feed, truck availability and sequencing, customer needs and mix designs to assure product quality and timely delivery.
  • Order raw materials.
  • Oversee the cleaning of mixer, chutes, conveyors, catwalks and other general plant areas to eliminate material build-up.
  • Maintain general housekeeping of the batch office.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical problems in the plant.
  • Verify lubrication of all plant equipment and documentation.
  • Perform minor repairs of all plant equipment.
  • Assist in emergency repair situations of the plant.
  • Perform basic preventive maintenance.
  • Record keeping, maintaining files, answering phones, and data entry.
  • Provide directions and assistance to drivers using radio equipment and mapping software.
  • Coordinate daily functions with various operations.
