About The Position

Brookfield Properties is seeking a talented and motivated Maintenance Technician to join their team. This role is ideal for a problem-solver who takes pride in their work and enjoys a team environment. The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for a variety of skilled tasks within the apartment community, ensuring the quality and upkeep of the properties.

Requirements

1-2 years of required experience in Commercial Property or Multi-Unit Residential Property.
High School Diploma/GED.
Computer and smart phone literacy required.
Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
May be required to work weekends - Saturday and Sunday.

Nice To Haves

3-4 years of experience can offset minimum educational requirements.
Preferred certifications include HVAC (depending on property), Electrical, or Plumbing.
Valid driver’s license may be required.
Multilingual skills are a plus.

Responsibilities

Perform repairs, cleaning, and replacement of HVAC systems.
Conduct plumbing repairs, part replacements, and installations of sinks, toilets, and faucets.
Execute carpentry repairs and installations of doors, shelves, countertops, and locks.
Perform painting tasks and drywall/plaster repairs.
Handle electrical and appliance maintenance, including lighting, wiring, power circuits, and replacing switches and lamps.
Repair and maintain machinery such as chillers, belts, and pumps.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Provide exceptional customer service.
