About The Position

Brookfield Properties is seeking a talented and motivated Maintenance Technician to join their team. This role is ideal for a problem-solver who takes pride in their work and enjoys a team environment. The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for a variety of skilled tasks within the apartment community, ensuring the quality and upkeep of the properties.

Requirements

  • 1-2 years of required experience in Commercial Property or Multi-Unit Residential Property.
  • High School Diploma/GED.
  • Computer and smart phone literacy required.
  • Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
  • May be required to work weekends - Saturday and Sunday.

Nice To Haves

  • 3-4 years of experience can offset minimum educational requirements.
  • Preferred certifications include HVAC (depending on property), Electrical, or Plumbing.
  • Valid driver’s license may be required.
  • Multilingual skills are a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Perform repairs, cleaning, and replacement of HVAC systems.
  • Conduct plumbing repairs, part replacements, and installations of sinks, toilets, and faucets.
  • Execute carpentry repairs and installations of doors, shelves, countertops, and locks.
  • Perform painting tasks and drywall/plaster repairs.
  • Handle electrical and appliance maintenance, including lighting, wiring, power circuits, and replacing switches and lamps.
  • Repair and maintain machinery such as chillers, belts, and pumps.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Provide exceptional customer service.
