About The Position

Taher, Inc. is growing and is looking for a Floating Cook to join their team. This role involves following standardized recipes, writing menus, ensuring meals meet quality standards and are prepared within acceptable time limits. The cook will also manage ordering, receiving, storing, and inventory control of perishable products following HACCP standards, control waste, and use time management skills to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Additional related duties may be assigned by leadership.

Requirements

  • Previous cooking experience preferred
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Ability to adapt and change in a fast-paced environment
  • Do simple arithmetic
  • Able to follow oral and written directions
  • Be able to lift 50 Lbs.
  • Be able to stand for long periods of time
  • Dependable, Punctual
  • Ability to maintain a professional appearance
  • Ability to follow all safe food handling requirements

Responsibilities

  • Following standardized recipes and writing menus
  • Ensuring all meals meet quality standards, are correctly prepared and within acceptable time limits
  • Managing ordering, receiving, storing and inventory control of all perishable products following specific procedures and HACCP standards
  • Controlling waste
  • Using time management skills to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Performs additional related duties as assigned by leadership
