About The Position

Airgas is hiring a Floating Assistant Branch Manager in Hazle Township, PA. This role will support multiple branches including Jessup, Kingston, Lebanon, Williamsport, and Schuylkill. The position involves assisting with day-to-day branch operations, profitability, sales, budgeting, customer service, inventory management, and personnel issues. The Floating Assistant Branch Manager will travel between branch locations to cover operational gaps due to vacations or training.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED.
Minimum of three (3) years of experience in an industrial retail, inside sales, customer service, and/or inventory control related position.
One (1) year of prior supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

Assists with managing the day-to-day operations of the retail store, including compliance, retail sales, warehousing, and distribution.
Oversees the daily schedule of the branch location.
Participates in the development and execution of marketing plans to support market penetration in collaboration with Sales and Operations teams and outside vendors.
Coordinates sales promotional activities, merchandising, and displays.
Collaborates with outside sales to ensure order accuracy and properly scheduled customer deliveries.
Manages branch inventory, daily hard goods inventory cycle counts, and maintains showroom and warehouse appearance.
Manages all hard goods receiving and dynamic deployment (inter-branch orders) for timely daily completion.
Monitors SAP reports daily, including open order/delivery reports, billing and delivery block reports, and open Purchase Order (PO) reports.
Responsible for Daily Cash Reconciliation (DCR), ensuring daily completion, error resolution, and initiation of bank deposits.
Works with hardware vendors to schedule and conduct monthly vendor product training sessions.
Oversees retail employee training in procedural areas, including adherence to Airgas Operating Standards and safety regulations.
Leads annual/bi-annual physical hard goods inventories.
Works with corporate accounts receivable to manage branch credits and collections.
Performs other duties as assigned.
