About The Position
Atkore is seeking a part-time Floater for the night shift, working 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. on Saturday and Sunday, based out of Pueblo, Colorado. Reporting to the Manufacturing Supervisor, the Floater is responsible for the quality and accurate production of fiberglass elbows. The position supports bending and related production processes, inspection, maintenance tasks, and housekeeping.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Good math skills for quick and accurate counting, calculations, and measurements, including radius, inside and outside diameter, and length.
- Attention to detail, accuracy, time management, and organization.
- Ability to adapt to changes in the work environment, manage multiple competing demands, and handle frequent changes, delays, or unexpected events calmly and logically.
- Ability to work safely and efficiently in a fast-paced work environment.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds unassisted.
Nice To Haves
- One year of previous shop experience.
Responsibilities
- Ensure all supplies are gathered for the duration of the shift.
- Assist in initiating bending, including cutting and sanding preparation, placing items in the oven, cooling, verifying angles, and labeling.
- Relieve the Bender for breaks and lunches.
- Assist with red striping, cutting, or swedging as directed.
- Perform final inspection of elbows for angle, label, and appearance.
- Perform maintenance tasks as directed by the supervisor.
- Maintain housekeeping in the assigned area.
- Perform other tasks appointed by the Supervisor or Shift Lead.
