About The Position

This is a unique role for an adaptable, intuitive, calm under pressure, and energized educator who thrives on variety. The Floater Teacher at East Gate Kids is a high-trust, high-impact position for educators who can step into any classroom (infant, toddler, or preschool), connect quickly with children and teachers, and help the day flow smoothly by providing support wherever it is needed most. Floaters are essential for maintaining consistency, safety, and emotional regulation for children, providing stability during transitions, absences, lunch breaks, and busy moments, and building relationships across the entire school community. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys variety and movement, adapts quickly to different age groups and teaching styles, is emotionally attuned, feels fulfilled by being helpful and reliable, and stays grounded in fast-paced environments. It is not the best fit for those who strongly prefer one age group, need a highly predictable routine, or feel stressed by changing environments.
