About The Position

Brains and Motion Education (BAM!) is seeking passionate Floater Instructors to join their team. BAM! offers exciting STEM, Arts, and Sports enrichment programs in local schools and communities, aiming to help students grow, explore interests, and have fun. The organization has inspired over 100,000 students and impacted over 1,000 schools with its innovative programs. BAM! is dedicated to equipping children with the tools to thrive through quality enrichment and sports programs.

Requirements

1-2 years of experience in STEM, with a passion for working with youth.
Excellent classroom management and the ability to connect with students from kindergarten to 8th grade.
Flexibility to travel between program locations; reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license or State ID required.
Ability to pass a background check.
Willingness to undergo additional training as needed.
Ability to lift and carry 20-50 lbs. occasionally, with or without accommodations.

Previous teaching or coaching experience.

Responsibilities

Provide coverage for instructor absences and vacancies.
Support the Natomas programs.
Assist with coverage for Sacramento City Unified (SCUSD) programs as needed.
Help ensure smooth daily operations and provide onsite instructional support.
Lead STEM activities, guiding students to explore, create, and grow their skills.
Teach the fundamentals of various activities, from beginner to advanced, ensuring each student can progress at their own pace.
Foster a collaborative, positive environment that promotes teamwork, sportsmanship, and personal growth.
Deliver BAM! STEAM/Sports programs, including subjects like Coding (Python & Scratch), Robotics, Digital Arts, Game Design.
Serve as a substitute instructor at different program locations as needed.
Assist with program inventory, preparation, and other assigned tasks when not actively teaching.
