About The Position

Our Float Pool team is a group of employees who are specially trained and readily available to seamlessly assimilate and stabilize clinical operations within our practices. We cover gaps due to unexpected call outs, long-term leaves, planned vacations, staffing vacancies, etc. This is a unique opportunity to work autonomously to the top of your education/certification while also functioning as part of a collaborative team. The ideal candidate profile is an adaptable RN who is confident in their clinical abilities and genuinely enjoys variety. We are seeking a per diem RN to pick up shifts Monday through Friday, but we can be flexible on exact days based on employee availability. In this role, you would be expected to cover various practices across the Pioneer Valley. Towns/cities include: Amherst Belchertown Florence Greenfield Hadley Northampton South Deerfield West Hatfield Williamsburg We do our best to keep all employees with their preferred geographic regions/specialty areas; however, float pool employees must be able and willing to commute to any of our locations during orientation (for training/precepting purposes) or during times of fluctuating staffing shortages (for cross-coverage purposes). Responsible for patient care and support within the outpatient setting through providing compassionate care, assisting in procedures, and collaborating effectively in a dynamic ambulatory care environment.

Requirements

  • Associate's Degree Nursing required
  • Registered Nurse [RN - State License] - Generic - HR Only required
  • Clinical nursing experience 0-1 year required

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's Degree Nursing preferred
  • Basic Life Support [BLS Certification]- Various Issuers preferred
  • Ambulatory care or outpatient experience 1-2 years preferred

Responsibilities

  • Deliver direct patient care and support, ensuring high nursing standards.
  • Conduct patient assessments, devise care plans, and assist in outpatient procedures with a focus on patient comfort and safety.
  • Educate patients and families on treatment plans, medications, and post-procedure care.
  • Collaborate closely with healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive patient care.
  • Administer medications, perform IV therapy, and maintain accurate patient records in compliance with regulations.
  • Uphold infection control protocols and maintain a safe environment for patients and staff.
