Labcorp is seeking a Float Phlebotomist to join our team visiting locations in and around the San Antonio, TX area. Join us in our mission to improve health and improve lives. This is a Casual/Per Diem position; hours will be "as needed" and the start and end times will vary. In this role you will provide exceptional customer service, perform skilled specimen collections and be the face of the company. Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Must have a Valid Driver's License and good driving record
• Must be at least 21 years old

Nice To Haves

• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program and 1 year or more experience as a phlebotomist
• 1 or more years of OB GYN experience
• In lieu of work experience, a Phlebotomy certification or completed training program must come from an accredited agency
• Able to pass a standardized color blindness test
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed
• Exceptional customer service
• Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment
• Comfortable working under minimal supervision

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
• Process billing information and collect payments when required
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs
• Provide superior customer service to all patients
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary
• Travel to additional sites when needed
