About The Position

Everleap Fertility is hiring a Float Phlebotomist with a home office in Eatontown, New Jersey, covering additional offices in Freehold, Princeton, and Marlton. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 5:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. The Phlebotomist draws blood from patients for laboratory procedures used in the diagnosis and treatment of infertility. The role works cooperatively with clinical staff and helps create a positive patient experience by explaining collection procedures and reassuring patients. Everleap Fertility brings together more than 200 physicians and embryologists across over 60 U.S. locations, including 25 IVF laboratories. As part of IVI Institute, it contributes to a global community advancing reproductive medicine.

Requirements

At least 3 years of recent experience performing venipunctures in a fast-paced laboratory or hospital setting.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word and Outlook.
Experience with electronic medical records (EMR).
Must be able to work weekends, holidays, and occasional evenings.

Nice To Haves

Completion of a phlebotomy program is highly preferred; it is required in California, Washington, and Texas.

Responsibilities

Properly identify patients.
Perform and explain venipuncture and other specimen collection procedures as required.
Conduct blood draws, label specimens, and centrifuge specimens.
Store and transport specimen samples according to applicable procedures to maintain specimen integrity.
Understand and comply with OSHA and DEP regulations.
Maintain a clean and stocked phlebotomy area.
Reassure patients and provide comfort to ease anxieties.
Maintain a cooperative relationship with clinical staff and help create a positive patient experience.
