Part-time Float Pharmacist
About The Position
Genoa Healthcare is seeking a part-time Float Pharmacist serving Central and Eastern Massachusetts. The pharmacist performs professional duties associated with prescription processing and works as part of a coordinated care team serving behavioral health and addiction treatment communities. The role provides medication information and customer service while helping patients with complex health conditions obtain appropriate medications and follow treatment plans. The position floats among pharmacy locations in Worcester, Milford, Marlborough, Framingham, Brockton, Quincy, and New Bedford. The schedule is three days, or 24 hours, per week during pharmacy hours of Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., with work every other Saturday at the Worcester location from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The role also includes administering immunizations as permitted by the Massachusetts Board of Pharmacy and other customary pharmacy duties.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy or PharmD.
- Current pharmacist license in Massachusetts.
- Certified immunizer or willingness to become an immunizer within three months of hire.
- Access to reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
Nice To Haves
- Authorization to administer long-acting injectables or willingness to obtain authorization within three months of hire.
Responsibilities
- Distribute drugs prescribed by physicians and other health practitioners.
- Provide customers with information about medications and their use.
- Provide a superior level of customer service.
- Ensure compliance with applicable laws of the State Board of Pharmacy.
- Administer immunizations as allowed by the State Board of Pharmacy.
- Perform other usual and customary pharmacy duties.
