Full-time Float Pharmacist
About The Position
Genoa Healthcare is seeking a full-time Float Pharmacist to perform professional duties and responsibilities associated with prescription processing. This onsite position floats among Genoa pharmacies in Western Massachusetts, including locations in Springfield, West Springfield, Holyoke, Northampton, Easthampton, Greenfield, Gardner, and Athol. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with every other Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. in Springfield. The pharmacist works as part of a coordinated care team serving behavioral health and addiction treatment communities. Genoa provides personalized pharmacy services, including in-clinic pharmacies and medication management, in partnership with community-based providers and others. The role offers an hourly pay range of $44.00 to $79.00, based on full-time employment and factors including local labor markets, education, work experience, and certifications. Candidates must pass a drug test before beginning employment.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy or PharmD.
- Current pharmacist license in Massachusetts.
- Certified immunizer, or willingness to become an immunizer within three months of hire.
- Access to reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
Nice To Haves
- Authorization to administer long-acting injectables, or willingness to obtain authorization within three months of hire.
Responsibilities
- Distribute drugs prescribed by physicians and other health practitioners.
- Provide customers with information about medications and their use.
- Provide a superior level of customer service.
- Ensure compliance with relevant laws of the applicable State Board of Pharmacy.
- Administer immunizations as allowed by State Boards of Pharmacy.
- Perform other usual and customary pharmacy duties.
