About The Position

Emplify Health by Gundersen is seeking a detail-oriented and collaborative Float Personnel Scheduler to support its clinical teams. This role is crucial for ensuring safe, high-quality patient care by coordinating staffing coverage, managing schedules, and partnering closely with clinical leadership. The ideal candidate is organized, data-driven, and enjoys supporting healthcare operations behind the scenes. This is a 0.9 FTE position (72 hours bi-weekly) with a Monday-Friday schedule between 6:30 am and 3:00 pm, including a rotating day off. The role is hybrid-eligible after on-site training and is part of the Nursing Float Pool department, located in La Crosse, WI.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required.
2 years of experience in an administrative environment required.
Strong organization, communication, and time management skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

Experience with scheduling and timekeeping systems strongly preferred.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is a plus!

Responsibilities

Coordinate daily and future staff schedules for assigned units to ensure appropriate coverage, skill mix, and compliance with staffing guidelines.
Partner with directors and managers to develop staffing patterns that align with patient care needs and budget parameters.
Manage employee requests including PTO, education, meetings, FMLA, and scheduling changes.
Serve as a resource and educator for time systems and timecard functionality, including reconciliation and reporting.
Use scheduling data, position control, and Excel tools to support staffing recommendations and operational planning.
