About The Position

Fifth Third Bank is seeking a Float CSR/Teller to provide excellent customer service in all interactions. This role involves deepening customer relationships by understanding their financial needs and referring them to appropriate business partners for consultative conversations. The position is responsible for risk management by adhering to policies and procedures, ensuring ethical behavior, and maintaining customer confidentiality. The Float CSR/Teller will also handle daily office responsibilities, maintain accurate balancing records, and resolve customer issues professionally. This role requires flexibility to work in different financial centers and a strong understanding of retail products, services, policies, and procedures.

Requirements

  • High school diploma/GED.
  • Work involves extensive cash handling.
  • Work involves contact with the public, adhere to dress code guidelines.
  • Ability to interact comfortably and confidently with the public.
  • In-depth knowledge of retail policies and procedures.
  • Ability to take initiative and demonstrate sound judgment in decision-making and problem resolution.

Responsibilities

  • Provide excellent customer service in all interactions.
  • Deepen customer relationships by listening to needs, asking questions, and guiding them to appropriate financial solutions.
  • Provide follow-up to customer questions and find solutions to address issues.
  • Be responsive and timely with correspondence.
  • Maintain customer business confidentiality.
  • Follow the Bancorp Code of Business Conduct and Ethics and other related policies.
  • Perform daily office responsibilities to maintain efficient operation.
  • Maintain a balancing record in line with policy and correct outages.
  • Maintain knowledge of bank policies and financial center procedures and stay updated on changes.
  • Handle consumer and business customer problems professionally, directing complex issues to leadership.
  • Demonstrate sound judgment in decision making, abiding by established guidelines and procedures.
  • Identify customer needs during interactions and refer customers to Bankers and business partners.
  • Build and maintain a working knowledge of Retail products and services.
  • Utilize appropriate tools for all referrals.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Work collaboratively in different financial centers.
