About The Position

This position is for a Flight Test Control Engineer supporting the F-35 Ops Center within the Lockheed Martin Fort Worth Flight Test Engineering Team. The team is part of the Test and Evaluation (T&E) Directorate and is responsible for strategic planning of the F-35 Development Test (DT) Fleet, coordinating DT data requirements, aircraft configuration management, and resolving execution constraints. The Ops Center specifically supports Test Site Execution and Configuration Management of the DT Fleet. While currently focused on the F-35, the role is expected to expand to other LM Aero Flight Test Platforms. The engineer will support F-35 modification planning, coordination, implementation, DT Fleet sustainment, and long-range modification planning. This involves collaborating with Test Sites, Customers, and other stakeholders to ensure aircraft are maintained in a flyable state and configured correctly for test objectives. A key responsibility is the overall Alternate Mission Equipment (AME) management for all test sites, including instrumented and non-instrumented assets that move between facilities. This includes evaluating AME asset condition, tracking assets, developing strategic plans for new AME acquisition, and coordinating AME migration from acquisition to readiness. Occasional travel to Arlington, VA, and F-35 Test Sites (Edwards AFB, CA and Patuxent River NAS, MD) may be required.
