About The Position

Q4 is dedicated to the delivery and maintainability of the highest quality flight simulator visual systems. With collimated and direct project installations in both civil and military simulator environments, Q4 is looking to continue its reputation as a quality driven, exceptionally reliable and customer-oriented simulation integration provider to both domestic and international clients. Q4 is looking for a Systems Integration and Test Engineer to integrate, test, and maintain simulator visual systems in civil and military flight training environments. The visual display system solutions consist of multi-channel projector arrays, wide angle collimated and direct projection optical displays, as used in modern flight simulators. The candidate will also perform the subsequent installation, alignment, tuning and testing of the visual systems in the Company’s plant and at the customer site. The position will also include the preparation and publishing of technical documentation used to establish the performance and maintenance of the delivered visual system. This position has the opportunity for travel and direct interaction with customer and government entities.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience as a Simulator System Engineer, Simulator Maintenance Technician, Visual Display System Integrator or related role.
  • Knowledge of the setup and calibration of multi-projection Visual Display Systems.
  • Ability to travel up to 70% both CONUS and OCONUS.
  • Candidate must be able to work in small, confined spaces.
  • Ability to constantly ascend or descend ladders, stairs, scaffolding and ramps.
  • Ability to adjust or move objects up to 50lbs
  • Microsoft Office365 full suite aptitude
  • Ability to comply with U.S. export control laws, including ITAR/EAR, and obtain any required government authorizations.

  • Experience with modern fixed matrix projection technologies
  • Collimated and direct project optical system principles
  • 3-Dimensional geometry and imaging/visualization calibration principles
  • Self-starting with the ability to resolve problems effectively and efficiently.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
