About The Position

The Boeing Company is seeking Flight Simulation Software Engineers (Associate, Experienced, and Senior) to join the Flight Simulation Labs team in Berkeley, MO. This position will support the Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) business organization, focusing on designing, developing, and demonstrating avionics solutions for platforms. Efforts will assist in integrating innovative technologies to maintain platform dominance and support Flight Simulation products. Roles involve software development for tools supporting simulation infrastructure across Flight Simulation Labs. Selected candidates will be aligned to a statement of work that best suits their interests and skillset, potentially including creating core simulation infrastructure, developing tools to simulate/monitor/capture messages between subsystems, or modeling aircraft capabilities for constructive scenarios in a testing environment.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree
Ability to obtain a U.S. Secret Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship.
Ability to obtain Secret U.S. Security clearance (Post-Start)
2+ years of experience programming in C, C++, C#, Python, Java, or Ada (or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience)
2 + years’ experience as a Software Engineer

Nice To Haves

Level 3 : 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Level 4 : 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Active Secret Clearance or higher
Experience in the defense or avionics industry
Knowledge of basic networking principles
Experience working on an Agile team using Agile methodologies and tools such as Jira
Strong coordination and communication skills
Ability to work in a multi-tasking environment while supporting multiple concurrent activities
Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment

Responsibilities

Develops, documents and maintains architecture, requirements, algorithms, interfaces and designs for software systems
Develops and maintains code and integrates software components into a fully functional software system
Supports development of simulation environments to support testing performed by Mission Systems engineers
Works on an agile team in order to accomplish team goals
Executes and documents software research and development projects
Works under general direction
