About The Position

The Flight Paramedic functions in a versatile role that demonstrates professionalism and promotes excellence. The Flight Paramedic provides advanced emergency/critical care in conjunction with a CareFlight Nurse during transport. The Flight Paramedic utilizes evidence-based principles to provide safe and rapid transport of critically ill or injured patients by air ambulance or mobile intensive care to a higher-level medical treatment facility. The Flight Paramedic provides advanced emergency/critical care during medical transport and may also provide care within their scope of practice throughout Premier Health. This position also includes public relations and medical education functions.

Requirements

  • High School completion / GED.
  • Paramedic in the State of Ohio
  • BLS, ACLS and PALS certifications required at the time of hire.
  • ITLS or PHTLS certifications required within 90 days of hire.
  • NRP, ATLS (audit) certifications required within 1 year of hire.
  • CAMTS approved professional certification required within 2 years of hire.
  • Minimum 3 - 5 years of Paramedic experience with transport experience required.
