About The Position

Med-Trans is hiring a Flight Nurse to work with an air medical transportation team, transporting patients to and from medical facilities and responding to scene calls. The role focuses on safe, effective, and efficient patient care in critical-care situations and on maintaining high safety standards for the crew and patients. The schedule requires two 24-hour shifts per week, and company-paid crew housing is provided while on shift. The starting pay range is $28.66–$49.63 per hour, depending on experience, plus a $5,000 annual area stipend. Flight Nurses assess situations and determine how best to support, monitor, and treat patients. They use critical-thinking skills to care for critically ill or injured adults and pediatric patients and support physicians’ orders. They help maintain a safe, clean, and well-stocked aircraft, perform regular equipment and base checks, comply with safety standards and briefings, communicate and collaborate with air and ground teams and other partners, relay information at shift changes, and maintain accurate company and regulatory records. They must maintain required certifications and complete ongoing training. Med-Trans is part of Global Medical Response (GMR), whose teams provide compassionate medical care, primarily in emergency and patient relocation services. GMR identifies its core behaviors as keeping care at the center, raising your hand, seeking to understand, finding a way together, and being accountable. The company states that it is an equal opportunity employer, supports veterans, and provides reasonable accommodations for individuals with disabilities.
