Pinellas County Sheriff's Office is seeking to fill a vacancy of Flight Maintenance Manager to lead our Aviation Unit's maintenance operations. This position plays a critical role in ensuring our helicopters and aircraft are safe, reliable, and mission-ready to support law enforcement operations throughout Pinellas County. As both a working supervisor and technical expert, you will oversee the aviation maintenance program, supervise and mentor a team of skilled mechanics, manage inspections and repairs, maintain FAA Part 145 Repair Station compliance, and help ensure our aircraft remain ready to respond whenever the community needs us. The ideal candidate is an experienced aviation maintenance professional who combines strong technical expertise with proven leadership skills. They are a proactive problem solver who can effectively manage competing priorities, make sound decisions, and maintain the highest standards of safety, compliance, and operational readiness. This individual takes pride in developing others, building a culture of accountability, and ensuring quality work is completed efficiently and accurately. Experience maintaining Airbus AS350 series helicopters, working within an FAA-certified repair station, and supervising maintenance personnel is highly valued.
