About The Position

USAA is seeking talented Aircraft Captains for its Part 91 corporate aviation operation in San Antonio, TX. The Corporate Aircraft Captain serves as the Pilot-in-Command (PIC), responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the aircraft, providing premium travel services for executives. This role involves overseeing flight preparations, crew coordination, passenger comfort, and ensuring strict adherence to FAA and company regulations. Additional duties include scheduling, safety, publications, and training related to the flying mission. The incumbent will fly USAA corporate aircraft domestically and internationally as PIC or second in command, ensuring the safety of USAA executives and employees. The position is based in San Antonio, TX, with relocation assistance available. This is an in-office position with a flexible work environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree; OR 4 years of relevant education and/or experience.
  • 8 or more years of related experience.
  • Minimum 3,000 hours flying experience or military aviation background.
  • 1,000 hours multi-engine experience.
  • Airline Transport License (ATP).
  • Second Class FAA Medical.

Responsibilities

  • Flies as pilot in command in a designated USAA corporate aircraft for domestic and international operations.
  • Ensures company aircraft are operated in compliance with FAR Part 91 and USAA Flight Operations' procedures.
  • Keeps the Director of Flight Operations informed regarding status of aircraft and flight crews.
  • Recommends procedures and guidelines in support of aircraft operations.
  • Creates flight plans which cover fuel loads, airport coordination, maintenance coordination away from home base, and weather.
  • Performs administrative tasks as required.
  • Ensures risks associated with business activities are effectively identified, measured, monitored, and controlled in accordance with risk and compliance policies and procedures.
