Flexographic Press Operator - 3rd Shift

About The Position

Avery Dennison is seeking a performance-driven Flexographic Press Operator to set up and operate multiple presses, investigate equipment issues, and produce high-quality, zero-defect output. The role is on the third shift, from 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM. The operator prepares machinery and materials for precise production runs, follows order specifications and quality procedures, performs preventative maintenance, records production data, and collaborates with other teams to meet site goals.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
At least 2 years of printing press operation experience.
Demonstrated experience operating flexographic machinery.
Strong mechanical aptitude, troubleshooting skills, and attention to detail.
Proficiency with basic math calculations and comfort learning PC software for production reporting.
Ability to read shop scales and follow verbal or written instructions.
Ability to stand, bend, stoop, lift up to 40 pounds, and maneuver heavier materials using plant lift aids or hand trucks.

Responsibilities

Prepare cylinders, mount plates, adjust ink fountains and rollers, load supply rolls, and process setups for production runs.
Interpret order specifications, monitor close tolerances using overlay gauges, and inspect tools to meet quality standards.
Investigate equipment abnormalities to identify root causes of failures and perform preventative maintenance.
Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), ISO 90001 work instructions, and Operator Process Verification (OPV) requirements.
Partner across teams to reach site goals.
Use computer systems to report finished production and complete related documentation.
