Machine Operators - Printing and Converting Paper
About The Position
Set up, troubleshoot, and maintain flexographic printing, bag converting, sheeting, and laminating machinery to produce paper packaging. This role requires a good work history and the ability to work first or second shift hours (6 am to 2 pm and 2 pm to 10 pm, Monday – Friday). The position involves monitoring machinery, ensuring it is supplied with necessary materials, inspecting product quality, and maintaining a clean work area. The work environment is a fast-paced production floor with machinery noise, and adherence to safety regulations, including PPE, is mandatory. Ongoing training is also required.
Requirements
- Good work history required.
- Knowledge and use of various hand tools assigned including tape measure, screwdriver, wrenches, etc.
- Good verbal and written skills required.
- Basic Math required.
- Maintain a safe working environment on production lines.
- Ensure consistent, dependable attendance and demonstrate a willingness to accommodate non-standard work hours as necessary.
- Capable of effectively managing job-related stress and fostering productive workplace interactions.
Nice To Haves
- Experience preferred in setting up and troubleshooting converting/printing machinery or similar processes.
- Experience preferred with large rolls of paper or plastic.
Responsibilities
- Set up and troubleshoot flexographic printing and converting machinery.
- Monitor and keep machine supplied with paper, glue, and ink.
- Inspect product to ensure materials, size, print, quantities.
