About The Position

This position is responsible for operating a flexographic press, encompassing all stages of the printing process from understanding work orders and preparing materials to ensuring quality output and timely job completion. The role requires a strong understanding of printing processes, color matching, and the ability to troubleshoot and make real-time adjustments to minimize waste. Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Ability to read and interpret job instructions.
  • Ability to work with both computers and mechanical systems.
  • Comfortable working in a team environment.
  • Ability to monitor production equipment for speed and quality
  • Ability to perform the physical requirements of the job, including moving up to 10 pounds regularly and lifting no more than 50 pounds intermittently.

Nice To Haves

  • 2 years’ experience running press equipment.
  • Basic knowledge of postal guidelines for sorted mail.
  • Prior experience with computers and software driven mechanical systems.
  • Proficiency with software driven mechanical systems

Responsibilities

  • Operates and maintains equipment.
  • Removes finished rolls off equipment and put them in boxes or stacks on pallets.
  • Makes boxes, tape ends of rolls when the roll diameter is reached.
  • Meets and exceeds production standards and maintaining customer quality requirements.
  • Communicates job status and production concerns/issues during shift change.
  • Follows all safety policies and procedures.
  • Adheres to all current Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Troubleshoots problems with minimum delay time.
  • Communicates with Press Operator on any problems developing and corrective action.
  • Works when equipment is down to maintain production requirements.
  • Continues learning new and improved processes to achieve increased production.
  • Facilitates teamwork among team members and between shifts.
  • Performs additional responsibilities as required to ensure the team's success.
