About The Position

Sunstates Security is seeking to hire Flex/Utility Security Officers in the Mooresville, NC area. This is an on-call/as-needed position with a pay rate of $19.00/hr, paid weekly. The Flex Officer plays a vital role in ensuring continuous, uninterrupted service to clients by covering shifts due to various reasons such as illness, call-offs, weather, or vacation. This position requires open availability for all shifts and days. Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Clean driving record and valid driver's license required for driving posts.
  • Basic computer and phone literacy.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Open availability for ALL shifts and days.
  • Must be trained at various posts and/or facilities based on operational need.
  • Schedule will vary based on operational need (shifts, days off, hours per week, etc.).
  • Expected to work any shift for which you are scheduled in advance which falls within the availability described.
  • For short-notice call-ins, expected to work at least 80% of the shifts for which you are called.
  • Refusing more than 20% of shifts for which you are called in could negatively impact employment status.

Nice To Haves

  • 1+ year of security, military, and/or law enforcement is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain detailed notes and knowledge of all trained sites to ensure seamless coverage when filling in.
  • Work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Accurately track hours worked and submit timesheets to the Operations Manager by 10:00 AM each Friday.
  • Provide professional, friendly customer service at all times.
  • Follow and enforce all post orders, client, and company policies.
  • Read and become extremely knowledgeable of Post Orders and SOP and will be able to act quickly and efficiently according to such directives.
