Flex Truck Driver - Class A - Penske Logistics
About The Position
Immediate Opportunities: Full-time Class A CDL Truck Drivers. This position requires the driver to travel regionally throughout the Midwest to work weekly assignments at various locations as needed. Deliver bread products to customers using pre-stacked wheeled dollies, allowing for easy roll-off deliveries and roll-on returns, with no store deliveries required. Bread products may be palletized and unloaded using an electric pallet jack. Average 5 to 10 stops per week. Start times vary based on the assignment and customer needs. Travel to designated locations throughout the Midwest to support operational needs. Flexibility is key, as schedules and work locations can change based on business demands.
Requirements
- Valid Class A CDL required. Applicants must be domiciled in the U.S. and licensed in their state of residence.
- Currently hold, or ability to obtain, a non-excepted interstate DOT medical card required.
- 1 year of documented tractor-trailer experience in the last 3 years required, or 2 years of documented tractor-trailer experience in the last 5 years.
- 3 years DMV/MVR record with two or fewer moving violations or accidents.
- English language proficiency is required.
- Must complete Penske employment application.
- Must submit to a background investigation (to include past employment, education, and criminal history) and drug screening.
- Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner is required.
- Ability to accept responsibility for their own safety, as well as the safety of others.
Nice To Haves
- The associate must be able to legally operate a motor vehicle and safely and frequently enter/exit the vehicle as well as the rear cargo area.
