About The Position

Travels to different locations in the local area keeping premises of commercial or institutional buildings in clean, safe and orderly condition. This individual may need to travel from site to site to fill needs as business requires. The Flex Team Member provides any kind of cleaning and light maintenance service needed in a variety of types of commercial buildings, both inside and outside. This includes cleaning offices, hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, locker rooms, and other areas. It also involves outside cleaning such as sweeping sidewalks, picking up trash, cleaning storm drains and ditches, and pressure washing concrete areas. The role also includes replenishing bathroom supplies, cleaning fixtures, emptying wastebaskets and ashtrays, collecting trash from receptacles, and transporting waste to disposal areas. Floor care includes sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and refinishing floors, as well as cleaning rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and draperies. Additionally, the role involves washing walls, ceilings, vents, woodwork, windows, blinds, door panels, ledges, sills, and cleaning water fountains. Dusting furniture, light fixtures, and equipment, and replacing light bulbs are also part of the duties. The position assists in project cleaning, which may involve lifting and removing furniture, and performing outside cleaning tasks. The Flex Team Member operates various cleaning equipment and machinery, assists in the completion of workload in the absence of other service workers, and reports any malfunctions or maintenance problems to the supervisor. They may also be required to lock and unlock doors and attend training meetings and sessions.

Requirements

Must be able to pass a background check to be credentialed to enter secure buildings, some with high-level clearance.
Must possess a current driver’s license and be able to pass an MVR screening.
Must be able to travel from site to site.
Must be flexible in availability to work on different shifts as needed.
Ability to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
Ability to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle or feel, and reach with arms and hands.
Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
Ability to lift/move up to 50 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required include close vision, and the ability to adjust focus.

Responsibilities

Provides cleaning and light maintenance services inside and outside commercial buildings.
Cleans offices, hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, locker rooms, and other areas.
Performs outside cleaning, including sweeping sidewalks, picking up trash, cleaning storm drains and ditches, and pressure washing concrete areas.
Replenishes paper and soap products in bathrooms, cleans mirrors, walls, showers, sinks, metal work, and toilets.
Empties wastebaskets, cleans ashtrays, and collects trash from outside receptacles.
Transports trash and waste to the disposal area.
Sweeps, mops, vacuums, and/or refinishes floors.
Cleans rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and draperies.
Washes walls, ceilings, vents, woodwork, windows, blinds, door panels, ledges, and sills.
Cleans water fountains.
Dusts furniture, light fixtures, and equipment.
Replaces light bulbs.
Assists in project cleaning, including lifting and removing furniture from rooms.
Operates various types of equipment and machinery, such as wet vacuums, hand trucks, vacuum cleaners, carpet extractors, floor buffers, and automatic scrubbers.
Assists in the completion of the workload in the absence of other service workers.
Reports any malfunctions or maintenance problems to the supervisor.
Discusses work problems and/or schedule problems with supervisor and/or management.
May be required to lock and/or unlock doors.
Attends training meetings and sessions as directed.
