About The Position

The Flex Specialist is a highly versatile and cross-trained role responsible for supporting the General Manager by performing critical tasks across multiple BuyWander warehouse operations, based on daily business needs. This role requires the ability to move quickly and efficiently all day while executing a wide range of responsibilities.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proven ability to move quickly and sustain high-energy work throughout the entire shift.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
  • Ability to operate a smartphone and Bluetooth scanner.
  • Ability to follow instructions, work independently, and communicate effectively with supervisors and team members.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift, carry, and move up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to bend, stoop, and reach.
  • Position requires seeing, hearing, use of hands and fingers, sitting, standing, walking, reaching, twisting, turning, kneeling, bending, squatting and stooping in the performance of daily activities.
  • Must be able to communicate with others including talking, hearing, and listening and exchanging communication.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in a warehouse, production, or fast-paced/physically demanding job is preferred but not required.
  • Forklift certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Report to the General Manager daily for assignment to the most critical operational area ( Material Handling, Production, or Order Fulfillment).
  • Maintain a high level of productivity, meeting or exceeding quotas and minimum units per hour ( UPH) goals for all assigned functions.
  • Unload trucks and containers by hand, or by using forklifts, pallet jacks, and other equipment.
  • Conduct physical inventory scans and stock all newly finished products in appropriate warehouse locations.
  • Organize warehouse shelves and condense items to create space for incoming products.
  • Ensure a continuous supply of materials to Production Team members, keeping workstations stocked with necessary inventory.
  • Use a smartphone application and scanner to efficiently process inventory.
  • Retrieve items from various warehouse locations according to pick waves using a smartphone and Bluetooth scanner.
  • Verify order accuracy and completeness.
  • Quickly claim, grab, verify, and deliver customer orders.
  • Assist customers with carrying orders to their vehicles at a fast pace.
  • Process customer returns according to company policies.
