About The Position

The Flex Social Lunch Site Host is a part-time, non-exempt position responsible for hosting a site and providing programs and activities to engage participants. This role involves working with the local community to build client participation and may require supporting multiple sites. The ideal candidate will demonstrate sensitivity, empathy, and understanding towards older, impoverished, and developmentally disabled individuals, while also displaying common sense, good judgment, and representing the organization positively and professionally. Confidentiality, honesty, and integrity are paramount. The position requires the ability to use a tablet for work purposes and complete necessary paperwork.

Requirements

  • Demonstrate sensitivity, empathy, and understanding of the needs of older, impoverished, and developmentally disabled individuals.
  • Display common sense and good judgment.
  • Actively promote LCAP to the public.
  • Uphold the highest level of confidentiality, honesty, and integrity.
  • Always represent the organization positively and professionally.
  • Must be able to use a tablet for work purposes.
  • Must be able to complete all necessary paperwork.
  • Commitment and desire to provide excellent service to all clients and aging community members.
  • Maintain predictable and regular attendance.
  • Work stated hours.
  • Communicate, comprehend, and follow policies and procedures.
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with all staff.
  • Must be able to perform all job responsibilities satisfactorily and meet the same job title's physical requirements.
  • All employees must possess and maintain a Valid Ohio Driver’s License and the minimum auto insurance coverage for Ohio (must be able to provide proof upon request).
  • Must be able to keep accurate records.
  • Must follow state and local health department guidelines which apply to the job.
  • Regular and predictable attendance is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Prefer high school graduate or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in food service helpful.
  • Will be trained in CPR/First Aid as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and service of meals.
  • Perform basic intake forms for new clients upon starting service.
  • Create a positive and relaxed social environment while maintaining professional conduct at all times.
  • Plan engaging activities and socialization for clients to encourage attendance at site.
  • Actively encourage client participation in activities.
  • Record and complete necessary reports and turn in contributions, as required.
  • Other duties as required.
