About The Position

DSI Security Services is hiring a full-time Flex Security Officer to serve the surrounding areas of Charlotte, Fort Mill, Kings Mountain, and Gastonia. The role provides general security services for clients while maintaining a safe and secure environment for customers and employees. Open availability is required. The officer must be prepared to work flexible hours, patrol on foot and by vehicle, perform moderate lifting, and work outdoors in all-weather conditions as needed. The position pays $18.00–$20.00 per hour. Pre-employment screenings include a criminal background check, motor vehicle check, and drug screen.

Requirements

• Customer-service orientation and effective written and oral communication skills.
• Basic to intermediate computer skills.
• Ability to perform routine foot patrols and moderate lifting.
• Open availability to work flexible hours.
• At least 21 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license and NCPPSB License.
• Reliable means of transportation and communication.
• Must meet all pre-employment requirements.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe and secure environment for customers and employees while providing general security duties to clients.
• Observe, correct, and report hazards to promote safety.
• Understand and comply with DSI and client requirements and specific post instructions.
• Participate in training and become familiar with general safety procedures and DSI’s safety manual.
• Interact professionally with clients, visitors, employees, and the public.
• Perform routine foot patrols and vehicular patrols, and moderate lifting as required.
• Work in all-weather elements as needed.
