About The Position

DSI Security Services is hiring a full-time Flex Security Officer for the Birmingham, Alabama area. The officer helps maintain a safe and secure environment for clients, customers, and employees while delivering professional customer service. Open availability to work flexible hours is required. The role involves routine foot patrols, moderate lifting, and working in all-weather conditions as needed. Applicants must meet all pre-employment requirements, including criminal background, motor vehicle, and drug screenings. Pay is $15.00–$16.00 per hour.

Requirements

Customer-service orientation and effective written and oral communication skills.
Basic to intermediate computer skills.
Ability to perform routine foot patrols and moderate lifting.
Open availability to work flexible hours.
At least 21 years old.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Valid driver's license and Texas Security License.
Reliable means of transportation and communication.
Must meet all pre-employment requirements.
Must pass criminal background, motor vehicle, and drug screenings.

Responsibilities

Maintain a safe and secure environment for customers and employees while providing general security duties to clients.
Promote safety by observing, correcting, and reporting hazards.
Understand and comply with DSI and client requirements and specific post instructions.
Participate in training and become familiar with general safety procedures and DSI’s safety manual.
Interact professionally with clients, visitors, employees, and the public.
Perform routine foot patrols and moderate lifting as required.
Work in all-weather elements as needed.
