About The Position

DSI Security Services is seeking Part-Time Flexible Security Officers to work at a premier manufacturing campus in Chicago's Goose Island area. This is a union position focused on delivering a concierge-level security presence while maintaining a safe, secure, and professional environment for tenants, guests, and clients. This is an entry-level position with a limited, flexible schedule that can vary from week to week depending on coverage needed. Requirements

• Minimum 21 years of age
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Basic to intermediate computer skills (reports, email, access control systems)
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
• Reliable transportation and means of communication
• Must possess or be able to obtain an Illinois PERC card
• Must pass all pre-employment screenings

Responsibilities

• Provide a professional and welcoming presence in lobby and common areas
• Deliver exceptional customer service to tenants, visitors, and guests
• Monitor access control systems and manage visitor entry
• Conduct routine patrols of the property
• Observe and report suspicious activity, hazards, or incidents
• Respond to situations with professionalism and sound judgment
• Complete accurate daily activity and incident reports
• Follow all post orders, policies, and safety procedures
