About The Position

The Flex Pac Operator is responsible for timely and accurate processing of cartons according to established procedures to ensure the facility's goals are met. This role involves operating PC systems, processing garments, performing value-added services, identifying and separating garments, handling exception functions, packing cartons, applying labels, operating scanners and printers, and maintaining necessary supplies. The operator will also be responsible for assembling cartons, performing audits, completing paperwork, and maintaining general cleanliness of the work area. Additionally, the role requires monitoring the 'AT ONCE REPORT' for work priorities, processing units for delivery, clearing 'at once' cartons, and assisting with inventory levels. Marginal responsibilities include performing work area functions as needed to accommodate changing priorities.

Requirements

Ability to work at different levels of heights
Ability to lift and move objects and totes weighing approximately 60lbs.
Mobility necessary to continually traverse stairs to different levels as needed
Ability to work at different levels of heights
Operate pallet jack
High School Diploma, G.E.D. or equivalent work experience
Yearly Pallet rider Certification
Operation of (RF) hand held scanner and PC
Properly maintain printers and tape guns
PC Skills
Acceptable vision to perform job functions
Must be able to lift and move 60 lbs
Mobility necessary to work all levels of building
Ability to stand 90% of day if required by job function
Maintain control of moving equipment at all times
Maintain established efficiency and accuracy requirements
Follow all safety rules and requirements
Follow LS&CO. Polices and Procedures
Maintain facility housekeeping standards
Ability to read and write in English
Strong number recognition and correlation
Be alert to, watch for, and immediately report all carton jams and mechanical equipment failures

Responsibilities

Operation and use of P.C. to perform required job functions (keyboard applications on Red Prairie screens)
Process garments per instructions on Red Prairie screen following procedures
Perform value added services (price ticketing, hangers, specialized folding, bags, etc.) as designated
Identify and separate wrong, damaged, and/or excess garments from the tote and process as procedures
Perform exception functions (at once, modify/delete SKU, etc.) following procedures
Pack cartons following procedures
Apply labels, bar-codes, or add packing lists as designated
Operation of hand held scanner
Operate printers and perform basic maintenance functions
Reprint labels or documents as needed
Key information into P.C. as needed
Manually tape cartons for shipment
Assemble cartons as needed
Perform audit functions
Maintain necessary level of sundries, retrieve sundries from storage pod as needed
Complete required paperwork as directed
General clean-up of floor and work area on a continuous basis
Monitor the “AT ONCE REPORT” to determine work priority
Process/prepare units for delivery to specified workstation area/carton
Process and deliver needed “at once” units to the specified workstation area/carton
Clear “at once” cartons as required
Perform exception functions per procedures
Collect overages, shortages, and damaged units and process per procedures
Assist sundries operator in checking inventory levels
Operate pallet Rider
Perform work area functions as needed to accommodate changing work load priorities
