Marriott has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Director, Customer 360, Sr Data Engineer. This role is part of the team focused on building out our next generation cloud based data , analytics and machine learning platform. Appropriate candidates have a passion for data and emerging technologies with a vision for building next generation capabilities and a strong drive for success. In this role, you will provide senior engineering leadership for the Customer 360 Data Platform, with accountability for technical strategy, delivery outcomes, and the performance of internal teams and service providers. You will set the technical direction, establish standards, and ensure scalable, secure, and reliable data engineering solutions are delivered in alignment with business priorities. You will be accountable for Service Provider delivery outcomes, including validation of estimates, adherence to technical standards, quality of deliverables, and on-time execution. You will provide leadership and direction to Service Provider technical leads while holding partners accountable for performance at scale. In addition you will research emerging technologies that will provide future capabilities as well as seek solutions for complex technical issues. You will make decisions on complex, non-routine requests to support analytics based decisioning by Marriott business teams.
