About The Position

This is a temporary position. The FLEX Bench Revenue Manager will assist RMAS Revenue Managers with non-stakeholder-facing tasks. This includes preparing for sales strategy meetings, managing room authorizations, rates, and restrictions, and communicating rate restrictions and strategies to properties. The role also involves supporting account diagnostics, monitoring transient and group inventory for straight-line availability, implementing hotel sales strategies in reservation and inventory systems, escalating technical questions to appropriate support desks, and monitoring compliance with company promotions and eCommerce channels.

Requirements

  • 2-year degree from an accredited university or related experience in Business Administration, Finance and Accounting, Economics, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major; 1 year of experience in the revenue management, sales and marketing, or related professional area.

  • 4-year bachelor's degree from an accredited university or related experience in Business Administration, Finance and Accounting, Economics, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major; 1 year of experience in the revenue management, sales and marketing, or related professional area.

Responsibilities

  • Assist RMAS Revenue Managers with non-stakeholder-facing tasks.
  • Prepare for sales strategy meetings.
  • Manage room authorizations, rates, and restrictions.
  • Communicate rate restrictions and strategies to properties.
  • Support account diagnostics.
  • Monitor transient and group inventory to ensure straight-line availability.
  • Implement hotel sales strategies in the reservation and inventory systems.
  • Escalate technical questions related to reservation and property management systems to the appropriate support desk.
  • Monitor compliance with and participation in company promotions and eCommerce channels.
  • Analyze information and evaluate results to choose the best solution and solve problems.
  • Use computers and computer systems to program, write software, set up functions, enter data, or process information.
  • Identify underlying principles, reasons, or facts of information by breaking down data into separate parts.
  • Generate and provide accurate and timely results in the form of reports, presentations, etc.
  • Assist RMAS Revenue Managers with sales strategy analysis and refine as appropriate to increase market share for all properties.
  • Analyze period-end and other available systems data to identify trends, future need periods, and obstacles to achieving goals.
  • Facilitate updates on the transient segments.
  • Assist with the account diagnostics process and validate conclusions.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of job-relevant issues, products, systems, and processes.
  • Explore opportunities that drive profit, create value for clients, and encourage innovation; challenge existing processes/systems/products to make improvements.
  • Achieve and exceed goals, including performance goals, budget goals, team goals, etc.
  • Attend staff meetings to plan, organize, prioritize, coordinate, and manage activities and solutions.
  • Establish long-range objectives and specify the strategies and actions to achieve them.
  • Take a predetermined strategy and drive the execution of that strategy.
  • Understand and meet the needs of key stakeholders.
  • Confirm hotel strategies conform to brand philosophies and initiatives.
  • Confirm that sales strategies and rate restrictions are communicated, implemented, and modified as market conditions fluctuate.
  • Assist Revenue Managers with the preparation for sales strategy meetings.
  • Update market knowledge and align strategies and approaches accordingly.
  • Communicate proactively with properties regarding rate restrictions and strategy.
  • Manage rooms inventory to maximize cluster rooms revenue.
  • Assist RMs with pricing and provide input on business evaluation recommendations.
  • Use reservations systems and demand forecasting systems to determine, implement, and control selling strategies.
  • Check distribution channels for hotel positioning, information accuracy, and competitor positioning.
  • Confirm property diagnostic processes (PDP) are used to maximize revenue and profits.
  • Initiate, implement, and evaluate revenue tests and audits.
  • Communicate brand initiatives, demand, and market analysis to stakeholders.
  • Understand and communicate the value of the brand name as it relates to franchise partnerships and revenue management opportunities.
  • Support all co-workers and treat them with dignity and respect.
  • Handle sensitive issues with employees and/or guests with tact, respect, diplomacy, and confidentiality.
  • Develop and maintain positive and productive working relationships with other employees and departments.
  • Inform and/or update executives, peers, and subordinates on relevant information in a timely manner.
  • Attend staff/forecast/long-range meetings as needed.
