About The Position

Clarke Vehicare is hiring skilled Fleet Mechanics/Truck Technicians to maintain their commitment to safety and customer service. This role involves using technology to record repairs on a fleet primarily consisting of Company Vehicles and Class 8 Trucks. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous diesel, automotive, or heavy equipment experience is strongly preferred.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Must be able to obtain DOT Med Card.

Nice To Haves

  • Truck Mechanic training or experience.
  • CDL a Plus or Able to obtain CDL.

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive maintenance (PMs) on tractors, trailers, MHE, auto, and other equipment.
  • Diagnose and repair all types of mechanical issues including engines, brakes, electrical systems, hydraulic systems, A/C, and more.
  • Test drive vehicles under 26,000 GVW.
  • Work independently while maintaining high safety and quality standards.
  • Use smartphone, laptop, and tablet technology to record all repairs.
  • Implement and enforce Health and Safety rules, regulations, policies, procedures, and prescribed instructions.
