About The Position
Velocity Truck Rental and Leasing (VTRL) is seeking a Fleet Technician to join their team in Rancho Dominguez, CA. This role is for individuals who are ready for daily challenges and are eager to provide superior customer service. As a Technician, you will be crucial in delivering top-notch service to customers, responsible for conducting various repairs (major and minor) while ensuring compliance with regulations and standards. Your mechanical and electrical expertise will be key to the team's success.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in mechanical inspections and repairs in a related field.
- Must have or be willing to obtain a valid Class B Driver’s License within a specified timeframe.
- Ability to understand and comply with Company Policies comprehensively.
- 2+ years of experience in heavy truck repairs or a related field.
- Ability to pursue a Class B Commercial Driver’s License.
- Fundamental knowledge of heavy-duty electrical systems.
- Capability to assist in diagnosing failures and executing repairs effectively.
- Familiarity with component rebuilds and replacements, such as engines and transmissions.

- Preferably possess post-secondary vocational education.

- Serve as a key point of contact for customers, providing support and guidance throughout the repair process.
- Execute repairs under supervision, demonstrating proficiency and attention to detail.
- Adhere closely to written and oral instructions, maintaining accurate documentation and inventory control.
- Prioritize safety at all times, contributing to a secure working environment.
- Demonstrate autonomy and initiative, capable of working independently when required.
- Willingness to participate in training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge.
- Participates in specific training programs as prescribed by VTRL.
