About The Position

Reyes Fleet Management is immediately hiring a Full-Time Fleet Technician Trainee at their Reyes Coca Cola Bottling facility in Milwaukee, WI. The role involves assisting with repairs and maintenance on trailer/tractor equipment, working Monday-Friday from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with a pay rate of $25.10/Hour and potential for additional incentive pay. Key responsibilities include inspecting, repairing, and performing routine maintenance, completing necessary documentation using the online AssetWorks system, learning diagnostic and troubleshooting skills for mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems, and maintaining a safe work area. The position requires adherence to all company, local, state, and federal policies, including DOT, OSHA, and Reyes Fleet Management standards. Driving company vehicles may be required, necessitating a current driver qualification file, annual motor vehicle records (MVR) check, a successfully completed DOT Physical, and Safety Performance History records request. CDL holders will also undergo a DOT Drug Screening and FMSCA Clearinghouse review.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/General Education Degree (GED) or Technical School Certification with 0 to 2 years of related experience
  • You must be at least 18 years old
  • Valid driver’s license and acceptable motor vehicle record in compliance with Department of Transportation regulations to operate applicable company vehicles
  • Ability to frequently lift, push and/or pull weights in excess of 50 pounds, occasionally lift, push and/or pull weights in excess of 100 pounds

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for accurately inspecting, repairing and completing routine maintenance of Fleet equipment
  • Complete necessary documentation for repairs and maintenance while maintaining accurate records of work performed, parts used, and repairs/inspections completed through the online AssetWorks system
  • Learn and assist diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems using diagnostic tools and technical manuals
  • Maintain a safe, clean and organized work area
  • Replaces defective components as instructed
  • Demonstrate ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment and perform tasks in outdoor settings
  • Adhere to all company, local, state, and federal polices and regulations including DOT, OSHA, and Reyes Fleet Management standards, while ensuring compliance with safety programs, correct selection and use of appropriate tools, PPE, machine guarding, and established best safety practices
  • This position may require driving Reyes Family of Businesses, Reyes Fleet Management and customer vehicles, it is regulated by the DOT and requires a current driver qualification file to be maintained as required by the role. The Driver Qualification file includes: an annual motor vehicle records (MVR) check, a successfully completed DOT Physical, and Safety Performance History records request from prior employers in the last three years. Additionally, CDL holders will have a DOT Drug Screening within 30 days of start and subject to a FMSCA Clearinghouse review
