This internship is an on-call position, which means it is a part-time, hourly role. The City and County of Denver offers a competitive pay rate to commensurate with education, with the pay range for this position between $19.29 hourly. This position is eligible to enroll in the City and County of Denver’s 457b retirement plan. This position is not eligible to enroll in other additional benefits. On-call positions may have routine or variable work schedules. This is a fully onsite internship located at Denver International Airport. The intern’s work schedule will be flexible to accommodate their current academic commitments. Hours will not exceed 60 hours over a two-week pay period (i.e., an average of 30 hours per week). Denver International Airport is currently seeking a Fleet Technician Intern. As part of our Fleet Maintenance Team, you will train under a Mentor for 6-12 months to help maintain and repair equipment and vehicles from Light Duty Cars and Truck, Medium/ Heavy duty trucks, Police Motorcycles to Airport Rescue Fire Fighting (ARFF) Trucks, including one of the largest and most technically advanced airport snow removal fleets in North America. This will include performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting/diagnosis, repair, and overhaul of these state-of-the-art diesel, gasoline, and alternative fuel vehicle and equipment assets.
