About The Position

The Fleet Technical Instructor works with United Airlines’ Flight Operations team to train and support pilots. The instructor teaches aircraft systems through classroom instruction and aircraft fixed-based flight simulation training devices, validates satisfactory completion of ground and other training modules, contributes to courseware development, and performs other training-related duties as directed by the company. The role includes classroom instruction, simulator training, and project work.

The position requires flexible scheduling across hours ranging from 0400 to 0200, seven days a week. Reliable, punctual attendance is a crucial function of the position. The role is bonus eligible and governed by the applicable collective bargaining agreement.

Requirements

• Demonstrated ability to speak in public and convey information in an organized manner.
• Ability to describe and discuss complex technical ideas and operations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Apple iOS platforms.
• Ability to complete administrative functions alongside instructional duties in a timely manner.
• Willingness to work flexible hours ranging from 0400 to 0200, seven days a week.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship.
• Successful completion of an interview.
• Reliable, punctual attendance.
