Requirements

Prior experience as a fleet technician, diesel mechanic, or automotive technician
Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing light, medium, or heavy-duty vehicles
Familiarity with DOT regulations and vehicle compliance standards
Ability to use diagnostic software and hand/power tools effectively
Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work independently or as part of a team

Nice To Haves

ASE certification(s) preferred but not required

Responsibilities

Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and repairs on fleet vehicles
Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues using diagnostic tools
Conduct DOT inspections and ensure vehicles meet safety and compliance standards
Complete brake, suspension, steering, and drivetrain repairs
Maintain accurate service records and repair documentation
Coordinate with dispatch and operations to minimize vehicle downtime
Identify and order necessary parts and supplies to complete repairs efficiently
