About The Position

We are seeking a Fleet Services Advisor to join our team, offering a supportive culture focused on safety, stability, growth, and a positive work environment. Requirements

  • Mechanical knowledge.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role.
  • High school diploma.

Nice To Haves

  • Bilingual French/English would be an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for drivers, dispatch, and the truckline regarding unit/equipment maintenance, PM services, and repairs.
  • Answer Fleet Service Centre calls, assist drivers with minor maintenance issues to minimize downtime, and escalate service needs to NTS facilities or third-party vendors.
  • Provide dispatch and drivers with Estimated Time of Arrivals (ETAs) and repair status updates.
  • Select and manage third-party vendors to ensure high-quality services across NTS and Trimac operations.
  • Issue purchase orders to vendors for on-road repairs and inspections.
  • Manage open standard and vendor repair orders.
  • Approve repair quotes from third-party vendors to ensure prudent use of company capital.
  • Coordinate preventative maintenance (PM) services for domiciled units, meeting company and regulatory requirements, either internally or with third-party providers.
  • Inform the Truckline of any damage to equipment not related to daily use.
  • Manage vendor performance and disputes to ensure swift return of units to service at the best cost.
  • Review completed vendor paperwork for inspections, checking for billing errors and Statement of Work (SRT) discrepancies.
  • Identify and manage regulatory/mission-critical repairs reported by drivers and NTS field staff.
  • Resolve conflicts related to 'Reason for Repair' issues between NTS and Trimac, escalating when necessary.
  • Assist in tracking and updating retorques as required.
  • Adhere to all associated NTS Service Center Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Manage company credit card expenses and code them for reconciliation.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
