About The Position

Larry H. Miller Lakewood Ford is seeking an energetic, customer-focused Fleet Sales Associate to redefine the car-buying experience. This role involves building and growing strong relationships with businesses, trade associations, and commercial customers to generate sales opportunities and create a robust network of business prospects. The primary goal is to "earn a customer for life" through trust and exceptional customer service. The Commercial Sales Consultant will demonstrate a positive image of the dealership, maintain customer relationships through regular contact, accurately calculate costs, write proposals, and ensure customer satisfaction. This position requires working with upfitters and suppliers, obtaining referrals, and maintaining up-to-date customer data in the CRM system. The role also involves setting appointments, planning daily activities, analyzing data, and reporting to management. Staying current on commercial vehicles, dealership products, and factory training requirements is essential. A thorough understanding of products, services, features, benefits, warranties, and competitor offerings is expected. The company aims to maintain a proper mix of vehicles with management guidance.

Requirements

  • Must be at least eighteen years of age
  • Must have a valid Drivers License
  • Must be able to pass pre employment screens (background and drug)

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrates a positive, proactive image of the dealership to others
  • Maintains and builds relationships with prospects and customers through regular contacts at their place of business, supplemented with other communications.
  • Accurately calculates costs of delivering products and services to customers. Writes specs, proposals and Buyer Orders. Fully explains them to buyers.
  • Answers all questions and provides complete information to customers.
  • Works with various upfitters and suppliers to accurately "spec" vehicles and related costs. Works with upfitters and suppliers to meet delivery dates.
  • Ensures the inspection of a product, service, or proposal occurs before delivery
  • Obtains referrals
  • Develops an ever-expanding base of suppliers and upfitters
  • Works with management to marker commercial vehicles in a variety of ways
  • Keeps up to date prospect and customer data in the CRM system, including past and future contacts. This includes customer communications, proposals, sales opportunities, deliveries and related follow-up activities
  • Sets and keeps appointments in a timely manner
  • Establishes short and long-term performance goals
  • Plans and prioritizes daily work activities
  • Analyzes and summarizes data at the end of each day, week and month
  • Reports objectives, activities, analyzes status reports to management as requested
  • Reads and understands technical material to stay current and conversant on commercial vehicles, dealership products, specials and incentives.
  • Meets factory training requirements.
  • Display a thorough understanding of products and services, and their features and benefits.
  • Effectively explain warranties and other technical information to customers
  • Researches appropriate vehicle solutions and specifications from reliable sources
  • Displays realistic understanding of competitor's vehicles, services and warranties
  • Works with management to maintain a proper mix of vehicles
