About The Position

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Fleet/Safety Manager to oversee our fleet operations and ensure the highest standards of safety. The Fleet/Safety Manager will be responsible for managing the Fleet/Safety Associates, reviewing post-accident reports, and implementing strategies to prevent future incidents. Your role will be critical in ensuring the safety and efficiency of our fleet operations. You will be responsible for implementing and overseeing safety protocols, compliance with regulations, and managing the overall maintenance and performance of our vehicles. This position requires a strong understanding of transportation safety regulations, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with drivers, maintenance staff, and management.

Requirements

2+ years of experience in transportation safety management, preferably in the rideshare industry.
Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
Proven experience in fleet management, vehicle maintenance, or a related field.
Strong knowledge of safety regulations and compliance requirements.
Excellent leadership and management skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency with fleet management software and Google Workspace.
Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.

Nice To Haves

Certification in fleet management or safety is a plus.
Experience with data analysis and reporting.
Familiarity with GPS tracking systems and telematics.

Responsibilities

Oversee and manage the Fleet/Safety Associates.
Ensure effective communication and coordination within the team.
Provide training and support to team members.
Develop and implement comprehensive safety training programs for drivers.
Oversee driver hiring, training, and performance evaluation processes.
Monitor driver behavior to ensure adherence to safety protocols and regulations.
Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal safety regulations.
Develop and implement safety policies and procedures.
Conduct safety training sessions for drivers and staff.
Review all post-accident reports.
Analyze data related to incidents and accidents.
Develop strategies to correct driver behavior and prevent future accidents.
Implement corrective actions and safety improvements based on incident analysis.
Oversee the inspection, maintenance, and repair of fleet vehicles.
Monitor vehicle usage and manage mileage logs.
Maintain accurate records of all fleet-related activities.
Prepare detailed reports on fleet performance and safety compliance.
Track and report on safety-related metrics and KPIs.
Provide guidance and support to drivers on safe driving practices.
Monitor driver behavior and provide feedback as necessary.
Assist drivers with vehicle-related issues and concerns.
