About The Position

The Fleet Performance Co-Op will help evaluate the performance of LG Energy Solution Vertech’s energy storage system (ESS) fleet and support execution of existing programs. The role analyzes site performance data, identifies trends and opportunities, and shares insights with cross-functional teams to support data-driven improvements. It also provides hands-on program management experience by coordinating initiatives, tracking deliverables and timelines, and supporting ongoing fleet programs from planning through completion.

Requirements

Currently pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in data analytics; engineering (electrical, mechanical, industrial, systems, or similar); computer science; applied mathematics, statistics, or a related field; or business administration, project/program management, or a related field.
Familiarity with SQL and relational databases, such as Snowflake.
Programming experience with Python.
Experience with or strong interest in data visualization tools; Power BI is preferred.
Comfort working with large datasets and learning new tools quickly.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks, priorities, and deadlines.
Ability to communicate technical information clearly to non-technical audiences.
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.

Nice To Haves

Prior exposure to cloud data platforms or data warehouses.
Experience building dashboards or reports used by others.
Familiarity with project/task management tools such as Jira, Microsoft Planner, or Azure DevOps, or project management concepts such as Agile, Kanban, or waterfall.
Experience coordinating team projects, events, or initiatives in academic, internship, or extracurricular settings.
Coursework in energy systems, power systems, or renewable energy.

Responsibilities

Query and analyze fleet and site performance data.
Clean, validate, and transform raw data for analysis and visualization.
Develop and maintain dashboards and reports for internal stakeholders.
Identify performance trends, anomalies, and key metrics across the ESS fleet.
Document data definitions, assumptions, and analytical methodologies.
Collaborate with engineering, operations, and performance teams to understand data requirements.
Support ad hoc analyses and continuous improvement initiatives.
Present findings through dashboards, summaries, and visual insights.
Maintain project trackers, schedules, and action-item logs for cross-functional initiatives.
Coordinate recurring program meetings, including preparing agendas, capturing notes, and following up on action items and open decisions.
Help define project milestones, track deliverables, and report status updates to stakeholders.
Support intake, prioritization, and triage of requests, tickets, or work items for assigned programs.
Draft and maintain program documentation, standard operating procedures, and process workflows.
Identify and escalate risks, blockers, and dependencies.
