About The Position

Hexcel is seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Co-Op at its Pottsville, USA location. The role supports the fabrication of composite honeycomb details, sub-assemblies, and assemblies by developing processes and tools, coordinating tooling fabrication, conducting process trials, and assisting Process Engineering with manufacturing operations. The Co-Op works directly with production personnel and contributes to continuous improvement, production, and quality goals. The position also requires compliance with Hexcel’s safety program, Quality Management System, policies, procedures, and Code of Business Conduct. Requirements

Field of study in mechanical engineering, manufacturing engineering, or a related field.
Solid verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to define problems and interpret a variety of technical instructions.
Solid organizational skills and ability to work on multiple tasks simultaneously.
Must meet the stated U.S. citizenship or immigration-status eligibility requirements.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience in a fast-paced, competitive engineering and manufacturing environment.
Solid PC and AutoCAD skills.

Responsibilities

Create and develop processes and tools for fabricating composite honeycomb details, sub-assemblies, and assemblies.
Coordinate tooling fabrication to Hexcel standards with internal and external suppliers.
Participate in the continuous improvement team to support plant production and quality goals.
Cooperate and communicate with co-workers, supervisors, subordinates, outside contacts, and customers.
Perform problem-solving and data-gathering activities to support DCR/MRR resolution.
Revise and generate process sketches using AutoCAD.
Develop and conduct process trials, analyze results, and work closely with production operators.
Work directly with manufacturing personnel in the production environment.
Assist Process Engineering in supporting manufacturing operations as directed.
Comply with Hexcel Pottsville’s Actively Caring Safety Program, Quality Management System, policies, procedures, and Code of Business Conduct.
