About The Position

SRM Concrete is hiring a Fleet Mechanic to maintain and repair its fleet of mixer trucks, loaders, dump trucks, tankers, and other heavy equipment. The role helps ensure vehicles and equipment operate safely and reliably to meet project demands and delivery schedules. Experienced mechanics and entry-level candidates are encouraged to apply; on-the-job training and support are available.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Willingness to complete SRM’s pre-employment screenings.

Nice To Haves

• Experience as a diesel mechanic, fleet mechanic, or heavy equipment technician.
• Strong understanding of diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and electrical systems.
• Ability to use diagnostic tools and equipment, or willingness to learn new technologies.
• Vocational or technical certification in diesel engine repair.
• CDL.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and inspections on diesel engines and equipment, including oil changes, lubrication, and filter replacement.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic problems in mixer trucks, loaders, dump trucks, tankers, and other heavy equipment.
• Use diagnostic tools and equipment to identify issues and determine required repairs.
• Rebuild, replace, or repair major components such as engine heads, blocks, starters, and transmissions.
• Coordinate with the operations team to schedule maintenance and repairs while minimizing downtime.
• Follow safety policies and procedures in the workshop and on job sites.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair work in company systems.
• Stay current on diesel engine technology and repair techniques through ongoing learning.
