About The Position

HTM Contractors, Inc. is seeking a Fleet Mechanic to maintain company vehicles and heavy equipment that support daily operations. The role specializes in diesel engines, heavy equipment, and hydraulic systems, and includes diagnosing mechanical problems, performing repairs and preventive maintenance, and ensuring company vehicles and equipment remain safe and operational. HTM Contractors provides services including tree services, junk removal, roll-off dumpster rentals, environmental cleaning, and street sweeping. This is a full-time, onsite, in-person position in Honolulu, Hawaiʻi. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM. Compensation is $35.00 per hour, paid weekly.

Requirements

Valid driver's license.
Clean driving abstract.
Must have own tools.
Previous experience with diesel engine diagnostics, repair, and maintenance.
Previous experience with hydraulic system diagnostics, repair, and maintenance.
Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
Detail-oriented and able to meet deadlines.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

Gasoline engine diagnostics, repair, and maintenance experience.
Small-engine diagnostics, repair, and maintenance experience.
Equipment operation experience.
Electrical systems experience.

Responsibilities

Diagnose and repair company-owned vehicles, tools, and equipment.
Perform routine vehicle maintenance.
Complete scheduled preventative maintenance and required services.
Repair and replace tires.
Maintain shop cleanliness, organization, efficiency, and safety.
Repair automobiles, trucks, excavators, skid steers, bucket trucks, cranes, wood chippers, and other equipment.
Use diagnostic tools to test vehicle components.
Perform quality inspections before returning trucks and equipment to service.
