Fleet Mechanic - Linen
About The Position
Mission Linen has an immediate opening for an experienced Fleet Mechanic at our facility. The Fleet Mechanic must perform preventative and corrective maintenance on fleet vehicles and equipment, including gas and diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and air brakes. Base Salary: $25 - $35 an hour. The starting pay is based on education, experience, other qualifications, and location of assignment. Schedule : Four 10-hour shifts per week, with either a Monday–Thursday or Tuesday–Friday schedule. Requirements
- Must perform preventative and corrective maintenance on fleet vehicles and equipment, including gas and diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and air brakes.
- Clean DMV.
- Strong work ethic.
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team-oriented shop setting.
Nice To Haves
- Experience in electrical and computer-controlled vehicle systems is preferred.
- Diesel and Ford product experience is helpful but not necessary.
- Prior auto shop experience or trade school is a preferred.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose, evaluate, and repair all systems on commercial vehicles up to full engine, transmission, and driveline replacements.
- Ensure all vehicles meet operational and safety standards.
- Perform routine maintenance such as changing oil, checking batteries, and lubricating equipment and machinery.
- Operate all tools and mechanisms associated with automotive repair.
- Evaluates and recommends alternative methods for accomplishing vehicle preventive maintenance to ensure the most effective and efficient return on investment.
- Follows an effective preventive maintenance program for company vehicles.
