About The Position

United Land Services (ULS) is a full-service landscaping company offering a comprehensive suite of commercial landscape installation and maintenance services. We cater to a diverse clientele, including single-family home developments, condominium complexes, commercial buildings, and shopping centers. At ULS, we pride ourselves on our commitment to quality and customer satisfaction. We are seeking an experienced Fleet Mechanic to join our team. This role involves executing maintenance and repairs on our diverse fleet of diesel and gas-powered vehicles and equipment. The ideal candidate will have 3 - 5 years of experience in fleet maintenance, with expertise in fuel systems, transmissions, brakes, wheel bearings, undercarriage, and engine performance.

Requirements

3 - 5 years of experience as a mechanic, with a focus on fleet maintenance.
Extensive knowledge and hands-on experience with fuel systems, transmissions, brake systems, wheel bearings, undercarriage, and engine performance.
Ability to diagnose complex mechanical issues and develop effective solutions.
Proficiency in the use of diagnostic tools and equipment to troubleshoot and repair mechanical issues.
Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently or with minimal supervision.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.

Responsibilities

Perform routine and advanced maintenance and repairs on a wide range of diesel and gas-powered vehicles and equipment.
Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve mechanical issues in engines, fuel systems, transmissions, brake systems, wheel bearings, undercarriages, and engine performance.
Ensure all vehicles and equipment are in optimal working condition, minimizing downtime and maximizing operational efficiency.
Oversee the completion of preventative maintenance tasks to avoid costly repairs and extend vehicle lifespan.
Manage inventory for parts and tools necessary for repairs and maintenance.
Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair activities in accordance with company policies.
Complete service work orders through Aspire, ensuring all tasks are documented, tracked, and closed out in the system.
Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations, ensuring a safe working environment for yourself and the team.
Assist in the development and implementation of maintenance schedules and procedures to improve fleet reliability.
Work closely with other departments to ensure timely and efficient repair turnaround for vehicles and equipment.
Perform emergency repairs when needed to ensure the fleet remains operational at all times.
